As part of the FER School – a non-academic level program opened in 2021, one of the five courses titled “History of Feminism – Feminism as the Ultimate Swear Word” has begun.

The course is led by Prof. Dr. Merima Jašarević, Prof. Dr. Ivona Čarapina Zovko, Prof. Dr. Zilka Spahić Šiljak, Prof. Dr. Jasna Kovačević, and Dr. Sc. Jadranka Rebeka Anić.

The course runs from March 24 to May 30, 2025. Topics covered in this course include: a historical overview of gender policies in the Middle Ages; the suffragette movement through the collaboration of religious and secular women; decolonial feminism; contemporary forms of patriarchy, and anti-gender and anti-feminist resistance to the achieved values of human rights and equality.
